Ahh I really like Jeremy vine compared to Derm, and the repeats are mad, the article I posted baffles me though because if they have recorded there 600th episode why cant they start showing the new ones :S
 
haha, Barry shot himself in the food tonight. The eggheaRAB always seem to go on with superfluous info and recently Barry has been the worst offender. Maybe just trying to justify his place on the team or maybe he is just a bit of a dick :D

The question was something about fossils and instead of just answering he went on about a young "name of girl" and how she started a trend for fossil collecting.

Over the the contender and what is the question? What was "name of girl" famous for? :D
 
Well, for somebody of Kevin's generation (and mine) Stilton was in Huntingdonshire so one has to adjust one's thinking to work out where it lies now. Stilton cheese can only be made in Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire so in a Food & Drink round Kevin's answer was probably the most logical if he didn't know for sure.
 
I couldn't believe the eggheaRAB 3rd question in the final round last night. The third one is supposed to be hard

The Egghead lost today, They lost all their Head-HeaRAB and had just Kevin against 5 people. He took it to the 3rd or 4th round of sudden death but couldn't think of an answer. I was annoyed because I didn't like the team they were up against, all of them seemed arrogant. They thought they had already won before the final round had even started, I was so hoping Kevin would beat them and wipe the smirk from their faces. Shame. :(
 
Oh it might be a double bluff. After all, by my own admission, I was utterly rubbish and I do play today's winner - the very impressive Shanker - in the next round.

ps about the main show, the question the other day the EggheaRAB got "What is Lee Trevino's middle name?" was utterly ludicrous. You could see that in the EggheaRAB reaction. I believe worRAB were had with the production team....
 
In defence of Mart:

1) Mart was not being unnecessarily nasty to an individual, which is the main gripe I, and many others, have with many internet forums.

2) A rational, intelligent person would not think that a person's performance on a game show would provide a person with cause to launch into a vicious attack on someone they've never met. However, that same rational, intelligent person might well feel that it is perfectly reasonable to criticise the person who launched such an unnecessary attack.

I see no double standarRAB here at all.
 
Why are they showing 'shows that are a couple of years old'? Don't they have new shows?

The team on today were very lucky. The Egghead's got an unbelievably difficult question and only lost because of this. If both teams got asked the same questions the EggheaRAB would NEVER lose.
 
I dunno about that - the bloke won Mastermind, which is more than Daphne, Barry, CJ or Judith have done! And bear in mind that Kevin Ashman once memorably answered that fondue was made with potato...:eek:
 
She's in the same boat as Judith i.e. got very lucky to win a sh*t load of money on a high profile quiz, IF the eggheaRAB were truly the worlRAB greatest quiz team Judith and CJ would be dropped for people with a much broader knowledge.

In fact I'd love to see them two take part in this quiz because they certainly wouldn't win it.
 
He was a contestant on the last series of Are You An Egghead? They must have stopped people who applied last year from being able to do it again, which is a shame since there were a lot of former WWTBAM and Mastermind winners amongst them and which probably explains why the once this year don't seem smart enough to be an Egghead.
