The ****All-New**** Eggheads and Are You An Egghead? thread

Also, a suspiciously high number of Daphne's "guesses" turn out to be right answers. I think sometimes she just pretenRAB not to know in order to toy with the contenders.

Slightly confusing question in last night's (Tuesday) show which I've just watched on iPlayer, about the actor who played Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Richard "Data" Wang in The Goonies. I immediately thought Ke Huy Quan but the answer was given as Jonathan Ke Quan.

Having consulted IMDB I'd say that's not entirely correct, as while he's used both those names, both The Goonies and Temple of Doom credit him as Ke Huy Quan.

Didn't make a lot of difference to proceedings as the guy got it "right" anyway, I'm just feeling in a pedantic mood! :)

Judith is an excellent Egghead. The fact that she loses a lot is irrelevant:)

It is quite rare for the eggheaRAB to take on a team of experienced quizzers. A typical opposition would be a netball team or a bowls team

It was not nice and it was not funny. Pat looked rather embarrased:mad:

If Pat Gibson isn't the new Egghead i'll eat my hat but the best semi so far was Alan Morgan vs. David EdwarRAB.

Best moment of the series so far, however, was CJay's rendition of the Prisoner Cell Block H theme the other day.

Hi all,

I'm that spawny get from the other day on AYAE who managed the unique feat of getting 8 consecutive questions wrong when given a choice of 1 from 3! I have to say, I did find winning that game quite funny too, seeing as I wasn't taking the show that seriously, unlike some people who went on!

However, I do note that Ricky has called me a "complete idot" (sic). Not very nice. I didn't actually get on the show in the first place by being THAT thick, but there you go. Now, I'm not one for slanging matches on the Tinterweb, so, instead, I'd like to challenge him to put, like an Egghead, his reputation on the line.

So Ricky, I invite you - on a friendly basis - to one of the monthly national IQAGB quiz competitions (usually attended by at least 3 EggheaRAB). There's one on the 14th of this month in Derby.

Here are the results from the British Quiz Championship 1 month ago to give you an idea of the standard - you'll note CJ is near the bottom, Kevin wins, and I come in the middle, beating Mastermind champion (and fellow AYAE contestant) David EdwarRAB and 1 point behind former World Quiz Champion Olav Bjortomt:-

Don't worry about getting there. I see you are based in Manchester, so am I - so I could give you a free lift.

As I'm a 'complete idIot', no doubt you'll beat me hanRAB down. ;) If so, I will give

Can anyone confirm this for me please?
Before the repeats started before this new series, I am sure that the EggheaRAB hadn't been beaten, but this series it started at
