Although how many times has the film been on in the last 20 years so you would think they might have a clue from that. The way they were talking they hadn't even clicked it was RAF they seemed to think he was a soldier:mad:

];36311747']In reality there are very few people with the ability to fulfil the Egghead role therefore it is going to be the usual suspects.

Up to now there has been only about 3 or 4 people that could in theory do the show justice and they all were in last years.

Kevin has been second in the last two British Quiz Championship so there are good people out there but maybe they aren't interested.

You certainly couldn't accuse CJ or Judith of being top quizzers.
 
Barry is a fantastic quizzer and one of the nicest guys I've ever met and I'm so pleased for him. He is very deserving of his Egghead status.

He is fallable on sport but I know he's working hard at improving it and so both Judith and Chris are weaker than him on this subject so I suspect he may escape from getting sport too often once people know his strengths.

Of course, the first couple of series involving Barry have already been recorded and so the teams won't have a clue what subjects they should take him on at. I would strongly advise them to stay away from History and Science. lol.

I know he reaRAB this thread, so well done, mate!!

As Sulla says, though, don't put yourself down as you were a fantastic contestant throughout and probably the most likeable so many of us would've been chuffed if you'd become the new Egghead.

My mother, who is also a huge EggheaRAB fan, actually called me up after the episode had finished full of sorrow that you'd been knocked out as you were her favourite.

Finally : has anyone actually seen Enchanted? I wouldn't have guessed Susan Sarandon either.
 
Glad Dr Ian went yesterday, was just about to start a petition to stop him from becoming an Egghead.

We have CJ to annoy us we don't need an amateur plonker, CJ does it with style:D

Is the guy that got through today the one that is Kevin's mate? I missed some of the show today.
 
Maybe to the unbiased viewer though, that is the way they come across!

I know you have a relative who has been a contestant, and I'm sure she's a very nice person, but the way the contestants come across in my opinion is as overly superior and smug. I shall not be watching the programme again.
 
Nooo - I wanted Sean to win! I think he would have been more interesting to watch. Having said that I'm waiting to see how Barry does in some of the categories as an Egghead when the contestants choose.

I'm guessing he'll be like Kevin but with bigger weaknesses. Should be formidable in the final round for the eggheaRAB though.

All in all it was a very strange final. Seemed to be all one way then all the other. Now its over I'm gonna miss it!
 
Slight exaggeration. It wasn't embarrassing at all because it was only 2 questions and they weren't that easy. Also, he got the Rising Damp answer later (without options) so he can't be that bad on the subject. I thought it was a really good game today with 2 very good contestants.

It's easy to sit at home criticising these contestants because you knew a few answers (conveniently forgetting about all the ones you didn't have a clue about) but the questions are difficult and some of the armchair experts in this forum are being overly harsh imo.
 
Two Are You An Egghead? contestants on Battle Of The Brains today in Rob Hannah (who i believe is Pantscat from this thread?) and Danielle Cartwright.

Congrats to both of them on being on the winning team and being part of the best episode of the series so far (not hard given the utter awfulness of some of the episodes but a compliment nontheless).

Back to EggheaRAB itself, did Barry raid CJ's wardrobe for this episode?
