The ****All-New**** Eggheads and Are You An Egghead? thread

];29047508']Still far too many easy questions in the shows, don't get me wrong some are really hard but some aren't really worth asking they might as well just give it to them.

Pat put up a good show CJ was neither use nor ornament for him. Could Chris have a flattering shirt:confused:

It is a bit hit and miss. Some are easy and some are hard. In one or two shows I had a suspicion that the contestant without many eggheaRAB had slightly easier questions in the final, to make it go the distance

Well, he seems as if he'd be OK to have a drink with. And I like his singing (not 'like' as such - am entertained by!).

I don't mind the discursive answers so much, either, and recognise it's an order from the producers. I liked it when Judith explained her reasoning in Millionaire, for instance, but, yes, as Pantscat said, sometimes you just 'know' and then it must be hard to give a reason.

No, its just an act, she's very nice after the show. She doesn't say much before, but that's, I assume, so people don't realise she's actually a softie. She does have her favourites though; she told me she wanted me to win because I was quite young when I went on. Go for it is what I say. You never know how you'd do on telly til you're actually there - its totally different in a studio to playing at home. (Though I'd still have got my 8 in a row wrong if I'd been doing AYAE at home the other day :p I just got questions that were personal nightmares)

"Hee hee" the BBC 2 scheduler cackles like some deranged witch, "I'll put on a week of 2009 EggheaRAB, then next week I'll put on a five days run from 2010 then the week after I'll put on a week originally broadcast from 2008. I doubt the dumb viewers will notice!"

:D

(Floopy now unbanned - @ rabroad)

That was a beautiful moment, wasn't it ? Just surprised she didn't invoke her grand-daughters as she usually does ! :D

Slightly embarrassing, but my Daphne impersonation involves just this sort of thing as seen a while back :

"Itthh it ?.......

(*pause*pause*pause*).....

(*then very sudden !*)

The Chemical Brothers ?"

];37363635']That's why the BBC should never be allowed any major sporting events, they cannot schedule anything right.

It's a sad indictment on what this country has become when the two major terrestrial channels show "Strictly Come Dancing" and "X-Factor" on prime time Saturday evening, could it get any more low brow.
