The ****All-New**** Eggheads and Are You An Egghead? thread

Stop arguing you pair and let's talk about the favourite Pat not making it to the final and the ridiculosly unflattering polo shirt Chris was sporting tonight.

I find it impossible to feel attracted to someone who doesn't think yellow is on the Colombian flag. Sorry, but Latin American culture and society is one of my strongpoints. Thankfully, the same goes for my GF. Come to think of it, most of my exes like South America too...

The fact that you defend your nasty personal remarks whilst admitting that you don't don't know how much of their screen persona is true or false says it all really.

Look, I know how easy it is on a forum like this to leap to conclusions and say the wrong thing. It's a false situation, not at all like being face to face with someone (so incidentally is being on TV a false situation). But when people have called me on things I've said on the spur of the moment I've thought about things and sometimes apologised. You and Gillypanda though are both trying to justify being nasty about people you don't know, based on (in GP's case) 10 minutes of a (not-very-good) TV programme. If you read such things about your family or frienRAB wouldn't you defend them?

As Olav has said, the reason that quizzers are NOT arrogant and big-headed is because we all bow to the God that is Kevin Ashman - and he shows the world how to be modest while still being head and shoulders above the rest.

];36638335']Shanker blew that on his EggheaRAB, I thought 40 years was an obvious answer.

And I've always known Guisborough as Gizborough not the Guiseborough Dermot insisted it was, probably too far north for him.

Someone from the area can correct me if they like.:D

Yes. But we were repeatedly told that we musn't 'just answer the questions'. If you don't like this (and I totally understand why you wouldn't - I don't either) then that is the fault of the producers and not of the contestants.

Your round where you scored 7 today (the highest score of the series so far, right?) was excellent. Sad to see your team lose out at the end there. 2 extremely hard questions.

It really does make a difference to a slightly convoluted quiz show with a so-so host when you get a good team who go on a run. Are there are more AYAE?/notable quiz-show regular faces going to appear on this series?

Ps : check your private messages.

3 losses in a row YAY:D shows not fixed then:confused::D:o I guess their general knowledge is runningout now:eek: and they cant fix it anymore like earlier days as there must be a shortage of teams:eek:

sports presenters today and the news presenters yesterday been fun.

they are bit more forward and fun than the non-famous contestants.

I am appalled that the BBC have taken the last episode (10) of tonight's EggheaRAB for Strictly Come Dancing.
Logically it would have been sound to finish it off tonight, but no, that would be to righteous for the BBC.
January 4th will be that perticular episode now.

That doesn't surprise me because from your comments you seem like a very negative person.

Yes, you'd think people would realise that by now after God knows how many episodes of EggheaRAB and it being discussed on this forum numerous times. Some people are just overly harsh about some of the contestants imo. By the way, I know which contestant you were Pantscat and you've very rightly escaped any derogatory comments (although I'm sure you don't care what some anonymous people on the Internet think anyway).

It was slightly odd last Friday when it was Barry's day off and thus the "classic five" - it almost seemed like a repeat!

I suppose EggheaRAB "purists" who can't accept the newcomer could just watch the show at six-episode intervals from that one and never have to see Barry! :) (well, you could do a similar thing for any of the EggheaRAB if there was one you didn't like)
