My pm says I have reached my MMI. The wc carrier is sending me to Walton Rehablitation Hospital in Augusta Georgia. Any Ideas as to what is going on and does anyone know of this place.

Also my pm called and said to keep taking 90mg of avinza instead of the 60 as I was in such pain.

what are your injuries? when did you get hurt? do you think you are getting better, worse, or staying the same?

i am asking because wc drs are PAID to say that you are better..or that you have reached MMI..even when they know that you arent. if you feel that you shouldnt be rated at this stage yet...you really need to get a 2nd opinion...as well as get an attorney, if you havent already gotten one. trust me...ive been in the system for 2 years....so i know their tricks. they rated/released me way too early....it really caught me off guard......had 2nd opinion done..and a new MRI and it showed definite continuing deterioration...so....my case is still going strong...haha wc!!!

I have failed back surgery syndrome. Had SCS done 4 months ago. I am still in a lot of pain. The pm doc who says I reached MMI is very pro patient and has been very good to me. The wc carrier is sending me to Walton on their own.

well im not sure what they have up their sleeve....but i wouldnt care to bet that it is one of their sneaky tricks. in my opinion..and its just a guess...but is it possible that they are wanting their own drs to look at you..to give you a very low disability rating? wc drs give the absolute lowest...not even a fair or accurate nuraber. i really do think thats what they are sending you there for. if you do not have a wc specialist attorney...id say its time for you to at least talk to one.

I have seen 15 WC docs here in ohio and 1 employer doc and every one of them agreed with my PM Dr on everything, I finally got the green light for surgery. Hang in there and get an atty if you don't have one.
