actually, i kinda liked those too. i can honestly say i've never seen a reese movie that i didnt enjoy.

scarlet should be knocked on just because she's not exactly a great actress. Sorry if that was too blunt :)

I would have to say Denzel Washington. Maybe some of the movies I didn't see of his were bad, but every single one I did see, I absolutely loved. The man can act.

Also, perhaps we are not getting into all of the old actors, but I love every single movie with Cary Grant or James Stewart, or Katharine or Audrey Hepburn.

Will I be cheating if I say the woman who was Joan in "The Passion of Joan of Arc?" Hehe, I think in her lifetime she only made one film, and that's The Passion.

Yeah Orlando Bloom! I agree. Leo's choices are good too. I am tempted to say Christian Bale but he was in Shaft. . .

Sean Connery. He has done a lot of movies and yet somehow he brings a powerful performance to each of the roles he has ever done. :)

Well actually he was supposed to be but I never saw him during it . I dont think it was a bad film, I think it was just OK.

James Dean! I know he did about three but they were all brilliant

And Tremors is a great movie, if you are looking for that kind of thing, Kevin Bacon was so funny in it, I would throw him off the pile for that crap-fest The Hollow Man. :)

Steve Buscemi is a great actor. All his movies, that I have seen anyway, have all been really good.

Morgan Freeman has done great movies as well. I didn't really like Along Came A Spider but I wouldn't necessarily call it a bad movie.

What about Jim Carrey?? He is absolutely hilarious. Some of his movies, like Ace Venture 2, were dumb but not bad. I can always count on him for a good laugh. I haven't seen the latest one, Series of Unfortunate Events. I've heard good things about it though.

As for actresses, what about Julia Stiles?? I really like her and I have enjoyed all her movies. Kirsten Dunst is really really good too.

The best part about this thread/discussion is you have someone and you can't possibly think of something they did that wasn't that good and you keep thinking of more movies and then poof, that one movie pops in there and you think... "damn, that sucked"

It is especially boggling when you have someone with a really good track record that ends up in a crap movie. It's like, did you really think that was going to be a good movie?

I haven't seen the James Dean movies so I dunno. :look:

So yeah, perhaps someone who just did one movie so far and it was a good one.

Lots of good actors did crap movies one time or another. This is a rather difficult topic. :P And we didn't even get to actresses yet.
