Yes he was. And it sucked. He was also in the gagarific Serendipity

John Cusack also has that war movie that just came out that is dreadful.



I wouldn't throw Edward Norton out on The Hulk since it has gotten more positive reviews than negative reviews, but he did The Italian Job, Keeping The Faith and Death to Smoochy, so that tosses him out of the no bad movie list.

And Four Rooms was pretty dreadful, but Tarantino's part wasn't too bad. Rodriguez's was the best, but Tarantino's wasn't unforgivable, so yeah, he'd be one of those rare directors who haven't made something horrible yet.
 
Edward Norton he never ceases to amaze me, he;s had great roles and not one movie i've seen has been terrible with him in it.
 
I almost agreed about Leo but then I didn't think Gangs of New York was good. :goof:

I think an easier topic would be "The Actor Who Always Makes Bad Movies". :lol:

What about Scott Speedman? He obviously hasn't made as many movies as most of the people mentioned and most of the ones he has made have been independent films, but I've seen them all and can honestly say that I've enjoyed each of them.

Underworld is the only box office hit Scott Speedman has had, but I guess because I've seen everything he's done, I forget that people may not know him.

I saw the movie Blue Juice with Catherine b/c Ewan McGregor was also in it. That movie is baaaaaaaaaaad! Very boring and just bad.

I don't think any actor has ever been in all good movies. I think that's impossible. Plus, every actor always says there's atleast one movie they aren't proud of.
 
Trixie. She is the only reason to see the film but the film is bad. That seems to plague a lot of the people that get ousted.

And Sean Connery was in the tragic League of Extraordinary Gentleman.

And in previous discussion, if you want to give Meryl a fair knockout, see Evening or Lions for Lambs. Bad, bad, bad.



And I think the problem that killed The Ballad of Jack and Rose is that it's overly contrived. DDL was great, but even he couldn't save the film.

Sorry to burst your bubble with general consensus talk. I feel somewhat mean in this thread sometimes because I'm always like "Nope. She sucked in *fill in the blank.* Try again later." Then I eat your coin again and you still don't get your bubble gum. Evil, yet awesome thread indeed.
 
I think Johnny Depp and Jack Nicholoson are both up there for non-bad movies, I've seen so many great movies with each of them, never really hated any of their movies I've seen..Also Christian Bale is amazing, at least in my opinion. Hmm who else...I think Leo is pretty great, but I admit I havent loved him in all his movies..but he's pretty good...and of course I gotta love my Al Pachino, he's almost Always good!

As for females...hmm thats a tough one lol! Ill have to think about it for a bit.

Exactly. If you want to make this a proper competition poll or something there should be a minimum number of movies the actor has done, or a more objective way of measuring "good" and "bad" - but as this is for fun it doesn't really matter, and it does seem to be going towards a Kelly/Dean win.



I don't know. It's not true - not entirely anyway - to say that movies are worse now, but at the same time you just have to wonder why actors back then tended to have better movies. If you look at All Time Great Movies lists there's usually more old movies. It really is a puzzle. But hey, at least you know some classics - most people don't even know any (apart from "here's looking at you, kid" from Casablanca or something). I don't know that much myself but I find myself leaning towards them these days.



Agreed! It's a shame because the books are so good. Seriously, forget the movie - just read the trilogy. They'll blow you away.
 
what about orlando bloom? so far he's done lotr trilogies, pirates of the caribbean and troy. yeah people weren't that happy with troy but its still a good movie.

johnny depp! what movie has he done that's ever been bad? nope. never.

How about Heath Ledger? He was young but he did a lot of good movies. Can't really think of one bad one. :shrug:

I've liked every movie I've seen with Johnny Depp. I think he must have a talent for picking scripts. I've heard "Secret Window" wasn't very good, but I haven't seen it.

As far as I know, Denzel Washington has never managed to make a bad movie.

I haven't seen many of Catherine Zeta Jones' movies, but the three I have seen I've realy liked, and I think all three were bad scripts saved by talented actors.

at the momant i can't think of a bad movie starring John cusack. Have he done a bad movie?

and about the director part, Quentin Tarantino has never made a bad movie!
 
Also, on the Johnny front, the last 2 pirates movies were awful, so that would knock him off of the perfection list. I pray he doesn't make a 4th.

This question is almost impossible because all the actors I think of that I love or critics love, I can mark off with a bad movie to their name, so it's got to be someone no one would think of that is Mr. Supporting. Or a really smart extra who has one line.

Too bad we don't have "director who has never made a bad movie" cause I'd so own that topic: David Fincher, which is pretty remarkable as well.

But yeah, for this topic I am stumped. Even Marlon Brando and Katherine Hepburn have made a bad film or two.
