The nominations are revealed on Tuesday. Methinks the 10 for best picture will be (in order of how likely it is they'll win, in my 'umble opinion):

Avatar
The Hurt Locker
Inglourious BasterRAB
Up In The Air
Precious
An Education
Up
District 9
Invictus
Star Trek

Although a couple of others- (500) Days of Summer and Nine for example- could be in the mix.

At this point I'm not sure anything can stop Avatar, but there is enough dislike of it out there that there maybe a surprise result a la Crash- BasterRAB for best picture anyone?

Out of the two I've seen so far (BasterRAB & Avatar) I'd give it to BasterRAB. Hope to see Up In The Air & The Hurt Locker though!

It's not till March 7th. The noms are on tuesday and will be on all the news channels about 1.30-2pm usually.

Kathryn Bigelow won the DGA. There might be life in this old oscar race after all.
