The 49 Worst Artists in Music History

They did.

Eh, I figured I covered enough of the prog related ones. I don't really like Asia, but it consists of some of my favorite musicians in the world (and some of Roger Dean's best artwork ever) and for that alone they shouldn't touch this list.

Looks like Blender don't see the joys of ear-torturing industrial music, oh no boo hoo  Maybe they wanted to rip **** out of an influential underground band to make things somewhat interesting.

And strangely enough Too Dark Park is probably their best album.

All bolded names have know business being on the list. There's further argument that could be made for many of those that are not bolded, but what is really disconcerting is the amount of true crap that did not even make the list in favor of artists who really don't belong on it in the first place. Where's Milli Vanilli?

The one thing I struggle with is how they bash Lynyrd Skynyrd on that list and the next list I read hes on the 100 greatest American albums of all time...top 20 even.

Seems they just pull **** out of their asses or 50 different people are making these lists.

Ah now, the resurrection has only just begun, as they rip off fashion 5 years too late by moving from post-Britpop balladry(2004 period), to 80's pop revivalism(2008)

This isn't a teen idol list... people like Justin Bieber and the Jonas Brothers make music soley for the purpose of monetary gain and fame. Calling them artists would actually be complimenting somewhat, even if it is a "worst artists" list.

alan parson's project shouldn't be in there and i doubt very much anyone on that mag will ever do anything remotely as special as Wakeman's piano work on Bowie's Life on mars!!!

Yeah, I'm sure he googles himself all the time.

Actually, he's not bad compared to a lot of shredders especially those on YouTube who try to play his stuff without actually knowing how to play it.

Basically, a 50 worst artists list would only be truly accurate if you filled it up with all these people.

this may be true, but they also aren't as bad as a lot of people make them out to be, definitely not even close to being in the top 50 worst artists in music history. That's just a joke. I can see them being called "overrated" but the fact that they are being put in the same category as Insane Clown Posse is outrageous. The ridiculousness of this is truly beyond me.

However, even though the fact that The Doors are on this list ticks me off, I can easily remind myself that this is an article by the prestigious Blender magazine. A magazine that I actually thought went out of business years ago, and probably should have. I'll let them have their moment.
