The 49 Worst Artists in Music History

The Doors make the list but the Jonas Bros don't.

Does anyone even know why The Doors are on that list? I'm not a fan of theirs, but I'd rather be locked in a room listening to Light My Fire than Rockstar by Nickelback or some moronic Jonas Brothers song..

Hey, some piano rock is good!

And yes, Keane is moving. For example - when I hear them, I move away from whatever is emitting the sound.

I would agree if it weren't for the likes of Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Marty Freedman, and a couple others. Yngwie has guitar turrets...he can be going into what could be a great song and then OH MY GOD HE CAN'T CONTAIN HIMSELF...same scale over and over. I like maybe 2 of his songs...and I am a fan of guitar virtuosos.

It's just a list. Obviously some people like the Jonas Brothers (even if they are deaf) they still count, but they still suck. I like many of the banRAB on the list. The Doors do not deserve to be up there, but obviously the creator of the list is a bitch.

100 Greatest American Albums of All Time - 1 of 100 - Blender

Yet another testament to the rancidness of this magazine.

It doesn't surprise me much that the people who think prog rock is one of the worst things to ever happen to music would add albums by Kid Rock and TLC.

KISS and Eminem in the top 50? Aerosmith in the top 30? HOLE? Not even one album by The Beatles?

Suck MY balls. Oh and great consistency guys, according to you the 37th worst band of all time made the 97th best album of all time.

And good god, just take a f*cking look at the top ten, I'm totally speechless.

Proof that not all opinions are created equal.

Haha...yeah I gotcha.

Anyways, I think they make some catchy music. Then again, you guys probably get assaulted with much more of them than we do here in the US. I guess I can understand that, then.

The only emotion I could muster while listening to it was...erabarrassment.
The sad thing is the cover (as bad as it is) does not prepare you for the tepid music contained on the album.

Oh dear god, I forgot all about Burzum.

Truly a terrible band.

Anyway, I retract my neo prog statement, a lot of it bores me but I don't really consider any of the big name banRAB to be particularly terrible, and as I said before I have to hold some degree of respect for any musicians I consider to be technically gifted. I just don't get why progarchives faps over this stuff so much. A lot of it isn't even what I'd call progressive.

Marillion are a good band, just very very very overrated in prog fan circles. I don't get why so many proggers think Fish is the definitive musical genius of the genre.

Arena are decent. Pendragon are alright. IQ are mind nurabingly boring.

Frost* are proof that at least one super awesome band can come out of this movement though.

Speaking of progarchives. There's this one guy, Epignosis, he makes some pretty terrible stuff but his album has really high ratings on progarchives, and I'm pretty sure it's only because he's a fellow meraber.

Anyway. If Blender are so determined to hate on prog, they could at the very least add, like I dunno, Saga or something.

Pretty sure there's good reason for that. Although there was a Neil Young album on there somewhere...

I did chuckle upon seeing what nuraber one was. What were they thinking?

I don't have a problem with most appearances on the list except Primus. They're not one of the best, but certainly not one of the worst either. I don't know enough Skinny Puppy to comment, but I feel like I'd probably disagree with their placement too.

EDIT: Actually, on further thought, a lot of those choices don't belong. I was just looking for things I actually liked, but really, while I dislike a lot of that, little of it could seriously be considered the absolute worst.

Surprisingly not, I actually thought they'd given up and put the err pianos down. Until today.. I was saddened :(

This hate and bile is coming from their lack of talent rather than them being forced up on me, not heard their music in years.
