Sounds like my type cause of the Sci-Fi/Action elements with those being my genres plus do like Jude :lol: but not sure I'm in the mood for it :lol:

I'll most likely see a movie this Tuesday and then Takers the following Tuesday after its been released :lol: Hayden and Paul :drool:
 
haha yeah it's a cool plotline! and the tone is very odd, kind of dark, sarcastic, pessimistic humor to begin with, then like I said it kind of lags, then just gets so BADASS AND AWESOME. I say it's worth a watch. If you like Jude and are ok with a total vapid action movie for the most part. I do think the sequences at the end are really different and visually and conceptually striking though. Watch it sometimes and come back and tell us what you think, Sarah!

Also I'm so pysched for Never Let Me Go, Black Swan, The Social Network and 127 Hours I think the most right now.

I might try and see The Kids Are Alright sometime this week or next. Gotta get my 2010 watching in gear ;)
 
Oh I wanted to see that :goof: the one with Jude Law and the Organ storyline where they sell the organs to people and he has to have it done to himself then they come after him like his job had been. I saw a preview and it looked good plus I like Jude
 
Repo Men was totally gratuitous, and the second act lagged. He spent way too much time moping and doing nothing and running away before he decided to fight the system. But I upped the grade on it because I LOVED the 3rd act and Jude Law, lol and couldn't help myself. It was such exploitative bro crap I just adored it!

I'm very odd, clearly.

Actually, I've seen far less than I'd thought! But it seems like a lot since I've seen inception 4 times in theaters! PHEW.

I always find from like February through April to be a dead zone for releases, except for a few good ones. I just want it to be May 7th so I can see Iron Man 2 ;)
 
It's still early for the watchable movies to come out yet :lol: Summer season is almost here though!

That's ok! Three is not much better. I don't pick it up until summer blockbuster season usually. Date Night and Iron Man 2 here i come! :lol:
 
Hey everyone!

So usually on Yahoo.com I make a list throughout the year that documents all of the movies I see during that year that were released that year and I grade them. I thought it's be a cool idea to share here and make a thread much like a "listing" thread like the 100 Movie Challenge, but also a place to talk and discuss. I know there is already a discussion thread, but the option is open in here as well!

So for instance my list so far would look like this (grading is optional, of course):

1. Shutter Island - B
2. Repo Men - B+
3. Alice in Wonderland - C

OR it doesn't have to be chronological but by rank like this:
