The 1970 Mercedes-Benz of phones?

Unfortunately, there are no quadband phones that fit your description, at least none that come to mind. Quadband phones are relatively new, starting out with the Sharp GX-30 I believe and then moto got into them. I guess the V600 is kinda classy looking, but it's not old enough to be a classic phone, it will just seem like you haven't upgraded in awhile

Because old Mercedes seem to be carved out of a solid block of metal, with high quality materials, not a lot of bells and whistles, and last a long time. And yes, I'm looking for a new phone with those qualities.

The Nokia 8801 seems like it would be the best. Its not particularly old, or not old enough to be "classic" but it fits with the whole quality materials thing that you want.

I guess not..its triband either with or without GSM 850. Question to the OP...are you looking for a quadband phone or just one with GSM 850 and 1900?
