The 10 Song Shuffle

For Kayleigh...

I have many U2 songs but not Lemon, I am familiar with Daft Punk but I must say I really dislike Handbags And Gladrags immensely...:shycouch:

On a warm afternoon at the ***-end of our summer, a bike ride home along the promenade produced this next list which for me was really enjoyable, okay I could have skipped the Living In A Box track [but wee're doing our laundry in public here] and in any case I think it's a great song, also hadn't visited 83 Royal Gardens in a long while!

JOY DIVISION "Decades"
REM "Imitation Of Life"
DAVID BOWIE "Ashes To Ashes"
RED HOUSE PAINTERS "Dragonflies"
LIVING IN A BOX "Room In Your Heart"
DRIVER 67 "Car 67"
DOROTHY MOORE "Misty Blue"
ERASURE "Ship Of Fools"
THE CLASH "Bankrobber"
PSYCHEDELIC FURS "Pretty In Pink"

All those songs pretty much blow

1. Sick of it All - The Distillers
2. Ping Pong Affair - The Slits
3. Myage - Descendents
4. Suffer Little Children - The Smiths
5. The Hungry Wolf - X
6. White Man in Hammersmith Palais (Live) - The Clash
7. Revenge - Black Flag
8. Vicar in a Tutu - The Smiths
9. Bleeding Powers - Ted Leo & The Pharmacists
10. Terra Titanic - Peter Schilling

excellent shuffle. Ping Pong Affair is my favorite post breakup song ever.

I like Costello a lot [there's only one Elvis?]... well, from this I know Korn and Pantera and it's plain that there is a lot of steel going on there...

Little Star > STINA NORDENSTAM > And She Closed Her Eyes
Mysterious Serablance At The Strand Of Nightmares > TANGERINE DREAM > Phaedra
Changing Of The GuarRAB > BOB DYLAN > Street Legal
Blackout > AMUSEMENT PARKS ON FIRE > The Taste Makers
Turn You Inside Out > R.E.M > Green
Border Patrol > EEK A MOUSE > U Neek
On The Run > PINK FLOYD > Pulse
Canada > THE FIELD MICE > Skywriting + Singles
Another Story Girl > STINA NORDENSTAM > Memories Of A Colour
New Divide > LINKIN PARK > CD Single

Very nice list, very nice indeed. Lots of classic songs, and I'm a huge fan of many of the artists on the shuffle (Bruce, BB's, Bowie, Radiohead and Elvis). I'd have to say I'd have gone for Radiohead as my favourite though, one of their best.

Bob Dylan - Love Minus Zero
Bjork - Vertebrae By Vertebrae
Naughty By Nature - Feel Me Flow
Pink Floyd - Breathe
Subtle - Return Of The Vein
Talib Kweli - Listen!!!
Steve Reich - Section IIIA
Peanut Butter Wolf - The Everliving

Kruder & Dorfmeister - Million Town

I like Sigur Ros and The White Stripes. Haven't heard the rest but it seems pretty solid so I'll check em out :)

1) Muse - In Your World
2) Mindless Self Indulgence - Issues
3) Billy Joel - Honesty
4) Radiohead - A Wolf at the Door
5) Beastie Boys - Girls
6) Panda Bear - Comfy in Nautica
7) Bad Religion - Shades of Truth
8) Judas Priest - Metal Meltdown
9) 2Pac - Can't C Me
10) Red Hot Chili Peppers - I Could Die For You

This list >>>>>>> all the other lists. Finally somebody who probably listens to more jazz and blues than I do!

Ioseb - The Sea Et Al; 2nd Movement
The Unicorns - Ready to Die
Woven Hand - Bible and Bird

One of the better ones in this thread imo. Heard of all but The Soggy Bottom Boys, although i'm definitely intrigued by the name. Some HTTT Radiohead is always welcome, especially followed up by some Hendrix. Kudos to Pavement.

Heltah Skeltah - Into (Here We Come)
Brian Eno & David Byrne - Nuraber 8 Mix
R.E.M. - Femme Fatale
Peter Doherty - Last Of The English Roses
Dr. Octagon - No Awareness
Benga - The Cut
Elxhi - That's The One
Cat Power - Wild Is The Wind
The Jesus And Mary Chain - Taste Of Cindy
Radiohead - Motion Picture Soundtrack

Wow, an intro and an album closer to end it. I like that aspect. Some decentr tracks too but all to often on my shuffle there's a lot of genre hopping. Not sure the hip hop-->dubstep-->cat power transition is anything to write home about.

Ha, yeah thanks. I am NOT a Lady Gaga fan, but that song stuck with me for some bizarre supernatural reason. Maybe it was the music video.

But hey, I like your list too, excluding Nirvana

Based on your musical tastes, I think you and my sister would get along well; she likes most of those banRAB. The Stooges and The Beatles are good, the rest I don't really care about.
