The 10 Song Shuffle

Not going to go again but I could see that list coming from my library, aside from Eddie Vedder. That Mogwai album is actually the only one I have by them. I don't listen to much Radiohead but I was just thinking today how much they sound like that UNKLE song (love it btw).

That is a pretty neat idea.

Charlemagne - What are the odRAB that we both had 'Pains Of Being Pure At Heart' come up? Especially because I'm not quite fond of them and only have one of their albums.

Edit: I just noticed you said you like them, oops!

Thanks, I would say "Searching With my Good Eye Closed" is my 2nd favorite track off the album. Nice with Public Enemy always been fans of 'em and STP

I'm not gunna lie, I don't know anything on that list, I may have to look into it to feel less ignorant.

1.Nile- Annihilation of The Wicked
2. Clutch- Never Be Moved
3. Cancerbats- Grenades
4. Nine Inch Nails- The Becomind
5.Tristania- Dementia
6.Vader- Red Code
7.Opeth- Ending Credits
8.The Cynic Project- Lost In Paradise
9. Opeth- The Night and The Silent Water
10. K-os- Mirror In The Sky

Great song choice you've got there. My favourites from your list are Pearl Jam and Mastodon, but all of them are good choices :)

1. Fine Young Cannibals - She Drives Me Crazy
2. Rod Stewart - Tonight's The Night
3. Earth, Wind & Fire - Septeraber
4. Barry White - You're The First, My Last, My Everything
5. Genesis - That's All
6. Electric Light Orchestra - I'm Alive
7. Toto - Africa
8. Supertramp - The Logical Song
9. The Four Seasons - Reach Out, I'll Be There
10. Fleetwood Mac - Albatross

Yeah, I know, my shuffle this time turned out to be really old, but this is what my iPod spat out and out of the lot, Genesis is my favourite :)

wow, lot's of classics there. Best on the list: Something stupid (then probably Springsteen second...I'm from Jersey).

And OctaneHugo, check out Townes Van Zandt. He's great. He's kinda got a Cash feel, but with a little more emotional, almost "romantic" overtone.

Never heard quite a few of the entries on your list (but then I've missed out on a lot of band and have a lot of catching up to do, and that's OK), so I can't comment on most of it.

Beastie Boys's Girls ...damn, I used to listen to that album a lot. No sleep till Brooklyn was my favourite track.
The Police's Spirits in the Material World - ah, memories!
I never really bothered with Dire Straits.
REM - sorry ... I believe I'm the only person in the universe who really doesnt get what the fuss is about them. I'll go and hide, don't mind me.

All the other names are on my "need to get hold of if I can" list....

Now for my list - I have to say, my ipod has only a small, not entirely representative, selection of my bigger music collection on it, and I strongly suspect the shuffle function is not as random as it could be.

Sorry, can't resist commenting on what came up, or is that against the rules?

1. Nine Ninch Nails - Piggy (Pretty good)
2. Cop Shoot Cop - Got No Soul ("Will you people please stop jumping under my train" - the lyrics are pure gold! )
3. Nine Inch Nail - Sanctified (That bass!)
4. Firewater - 7th Avenue Static (Really pretty good)
5. Cop Shoot Cop - System Test (Eeeek - that's from some bootleg, and pretty much unlistenable, much as I love these guys)
6. Cop Shoot Cop - Triumphal Theme (Just...um, that one)
7. Echo and the Bunnymen - No Dark Things (Cardiac arrest of a song)
8. Certain General - Will you (Can you say epic?)
9. Pet Shop Boys - Opportunities (So glad this came up - classic pop at its best)
10. BRMC - Love Burns (Not the best song on the album this is from, but on the other hand, there isn't a single bad song on that album)
