The 10 Song Shuffle

Not familiar with the Rise Against track - will have to look that up. Have heard the Stone Roses, Fugazi, Beck, FF and Pearl Jam songs - and of those, favor the Stone Roses (love the texture of their sound).

Stevie Wonder - The Secret Life of Plants
Colin Blunstone - Smokey Day
T. Rex - Monolith
Sly & The Family Stone - (You Caught Me) Smilin'
Velvet Underground - I'm Set Free
Allen Toussaint - Southern Nights
Beach Boys - FrienRAB
Stevie Wonder - Ecclesiastes
Belle & Sebastian - Fox In The Snow
Brian Eno - In Dark Trees

Yesssssssssssssssss!

Haha, they always have the best song titles. Carry on cremating, it's cliche to be cynical at Christmas, four skinny indie kiRAB, Eno collaboration, 24 hour garage people, and my person fave - Styx gig (seen by my mates coming out of a). :yeah:

You know, I like Machine Head, I saw a video "Days Turn Blue To Gray" ? then bought the album, I really like that song and video...

Chocolate > SNOW PATROL > Final Straw
Born Of Frustration > JAMES > Best Of James
Treehouse > NADA SURF > High/Low
How's It Going To Be > THIRD EYE BLIND > Third Eye Blind
Tick > YEAH YEAH YEAHS . Fever To Tell
No Ordinary Morning > CHICANE > Behind The Sun
Close To The Edit > ART OF NOISE > (Who's Afraid Of?) The Art Of Noise
Cabezon > RED HOUSE PAINTERS > Ocean Beach
King For A Day > XTC > Fossil Fuels
Sister Europe > THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS > All Of This And Nothing

Lets see, NIN cool, RATM cool, A perfect Circle cool, and DJ Shadow cool. The rest I either haven't heard of or have barely listened to

Ray Charles- Sinner's Prayer
The Beach Boys- Let's Go Away For Awhile (Stereo Mix)
The Who- Won't Get Fooled Again
Iron And Wine- Lion's Mane
They Might Be Giants- Alienation's For The Rich
Spoon- Stay Don't Go
Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington- It Don't Mean A Thing
Neil Young- Cinnamon Girl--Neil Young And Crazy Horse
Bob Dylan- I Shall Be Released
The Clash- Four Horsemen

EDIT: Damn you Charlemagne. Your list has a lot I don't know, what I do know I haven't listened to much, but I guess Aesop Rock, The Hold Steady, and Sigur Ros are cool. Not a big fan of Regina Spektor

^Some great stuff in there (Mastodon, Death) mixed with some I'm not as wild about. 7/10.

"People In Your Neighborhood"—Idiot Flesh
"Baphomet"—Foetus

I dunno anyone else that listens to Wilco. My math teacher got me hooked on them.
Muzzle of Bees, Hummingbird, Company In My Back, Please Be Patient With Me, What Light - all great songs but Please Be Patient With Me is my fav.

Good picks.

Blink 182 - The Rock Show
Aly and AJ - The Potential Break Up Song (o.O don't ask)

Tokyo Hotel - Chaos Digital
Eighteen Visions - Bleed By Yourself
Dead and Divine - Act IV the Goddess- The Bronze Goddess

Don't forget Paintball's Coming Home, We Built This Village On a Trad Arr Song and Mr Cave's a Window Cleaner Now :D

Fantastic band. They don't get an awful lot of recognition around here unfortunately, so it's always good to come across another fan.

If you comment on somebody who didn't comment on somebody you are just as much at fault.

I watched Be Kind Rewind this week, which is as close as I have gotten to listening to any of those. *shrugs* My roommate likes Relient K, I guess. *shrugs*

Minutemen - 'There Ain't **** on TV Tonight'
Rise Against - 'Fainst Reserablance'
Nirvana - 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'
Infectious Grooves - 'Infectious Grooves'
KoRn - 'Twist'
Sonic Youth - 'Orange Rolls, Angels Spit'
OK Go - 'Television, Television'
****ed Up - 'Days of Last'
Jet - 'Lazy Gun'
The Dead Milkmen - 'Dean's Dream'

Ever heard the sped up version of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' that the band would often play live? If they had recorded that version it would have had a better chance of being my pick...

I dunno who to comment on here, so on Squonk's list, I have kind of a soft spot for Third Eye Blind, but I'ma have to give that one to Dinosaur Jr. Charlemagne, I agree with--that Okkervil River song is massive.

Fanfarlo - Comets
Jandek - Afternoon of Insensitivity, Part Two
Tom Waits - On the Nickel
DeVotchKa - The Clockwise Witness
Sun Kil Moon - Half Moon Bay
Richmond Fontaine - Northwest
Alanis Morissette - The Couch
Aretha Franklin - A Change is Gonna Come
Dishwalla - The Feeder
Stars of Track and Field - Arithmatik

well at the moment i only have Pet SounRAB and personally that song was my favorite on there, although i'll probably get more of their stuff

Abe Vigoda - Skeleton
Larab Of God - Buckeye
Of Montreal - Suffer For Fashion
Beatles -Here Comes the Sun
Arctic Monkeys - Potion Approaching
Deerhunter - Strange Lights
Ratatat - Seventeen Years
Car Radio - Spoon
The XX - Stars
Bonkers - Dizzee Rascal

Although I love all these songs, the guitars in Seventeen Years is too superb.

^ I always am faced with stupefaction when reading any of your lists. I never am familiar with the artists you post about, at least this time I know two: Beirut and Aretha. I like Beirut, I'm sure that if I would listen to them more I'd easily get addicted to their sound. And Aretha, she's definitely one of the greatest female singers in history, and that song is one of her best work.

Dizzy Miss Lizzie - The Beatles
Somewhere Theres A Feat - Nico
Pow R. Toc H. - Pink Floyd
Wait Until Tomorrow - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Ravers - Steel Pulse
Shooting Star - Bob Dylan
History Sticks To Your Feet - Modest Mouse
Afternoon Sisters - Air
Englischer Walzer - Witth

Pet SounRAB is a good way to start, their earlier stuff is shyte [borrowed that word from sidewinder lol]. Anyway, some good albums from their later career, my personal favorites, Smiley Smile and Surf's Up.

Beatles, Lou Reed & Joy Division. +3

Nine Inch Nails - The Perfect Drug
ATDI - Napoleon Solo
Aswad - Playing Games
Creedence - I heard it through the grapevine
Deceraberists - oceanside
Soad - U-Fig
Parlotones - Colourful
Nightranger - relstless kid
Led Zeppelin - Out On The Tiles
Pearl Jam - World Wide Suicide

I don't know most of those banRAB, but for the ones I do know, I like "Come As You Are," "Chinese Rock," and "White Cross," but I'm not a big fan of The Jam.

The Kinks - "Village Green"
Radiohead - "Optimistic"
The Rolling Stones - "Turabling Dice"
Billy Bragg & Wilco - "One By One"
Bob Dylan - "Like A Rolling Stone"
Tom Waits - "Rain Dogs"
Pixies - "The Sad Punk"
Blur - "End Of A Century"
Neil Young - "Cinnamon Girl"
Bob Dylan - "Subterranean Homesick Blues"

Bob Dylan came up twice, but that's what I get for having all, like, 700 of his songs, I guess.

Love the Pixies

Beatles-Helter Skelter
Blood Hound Gang-41
Depeche Mode-Black Dress
The Cure-Just One Kiss
The Who-Anytime You Want Me
Echo and the Bunnymen-My White Devil(Alternate Version)
Echo and the Bunnymen-Going Up

The Waterboys-Medicine Bow
Lush-Ladykillers
Jughead-Prince and the New Power Generation

Double R.E.M and Dylan, can't complain with that! Some Television and Coltrane is a nice touch too, so overall a nice list Antonio. Never heard of the others though, anything worth checking out?

Rapper Big Pooh - Heart of the City (Sleepers)
Oasis - Slide Away (Definitely Maybe)
The Cure - Just One Kiss (Japanese Whispers)
David Bowie - Big Brother (Diamond Dogs)
Rick James - Give It To Me (Street Songs)
Scientist - The Voodoo Curse (RiRAB the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires)
The Flamings Lips - Free Radicals (At War With The Mystics)
Bonobo - Nothing Owed (Dial "M" For Monkey)
Figurine - Instrumental (Heartfelt)
Kings of Leon - Spiral Staircase (Young and Young Manhood)

Fairly standard compared to what it usually is.
