Have you listened to anything he did as a meraber of the Jam? Check this out:

Anyway, that 10cc song is a classic, The Microphones are great, AYWKUBTTOD is pretty good too. Sublime sucks, and so does Taking Back Sunday.

Thelonious Monk - Misterioso
R.E.M. - Horse to Water (Live at the Olympia)
The Chemical Brothers - Get Up On it Like This
Blind Melon - Change
The Pogues - Hell's Ditch
The Flaming Lips - Feeling Yourself Disintegrate
Joy Division - Glass
Smashing Pumpkins - Sweet Sweet
Weezer - Butterfly
Hank Williams - Why Don't You Love Me?

Weezer by a nose. Monk gets second place, then the Pumpkins with Joy Division closing up the top four.

To be honest I haven't heard any of those specific songs, Ugly Cassanova is pretty cool, but I'm not a big Green Day fan.

Brilliant Colors- Mythic
Pink Floyd- On The Run
The Beatings- The Scapegoats
Blue Giant- The Void Above The Sky
Gorillaz- KiRAB With Guns
Jeff Hanson- If Only I Knew
Patti Smith- Paths That Cross
Kind Of Like Spitting- If The Shoe Fits, Cut The Foot Off
Andrew Bird- Plasticities

Wow, 4 of these songs I never listen to...I need to do some cleaning.

I admit I'm not familiar with most of your list but Tosh and the Jam are both good 'uns.... I've heard good things about the Cold War KiRAB as well

8) Wire - fly in the ointment
9) Wallace Collection - daydream
10) David Bowie - hang on to yourself

These are all amazing, imo, but 'fly in the ointment' has been a consistent favorite of mine for 15 years, so it gets my vote for top pick. :afro:

Absolutely love Devo. James Chance, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie and BRMC are alright in my book and who doesn't love a little Parliament once in a while. The others I haven't heard or have just heard very little from.

Red Sparowes - The Sixth Extinction Crept Up Slowly, Like Sunlight Through the Shutters, as We Looked Back in Regret

John Frusciante - [Untitled Track 11]
Neon Hunk - Robot Funeral

Locust Toybox - Momentish

Interesting mix, I suppose. Certainly not the best. Definitely not my favourite Nirvana song and I haven't had the chance to listen to that Audience of One ep yet. I'll have to go with Silly Girl since it's a classic. I really enjoy that Red Sparowes album too.

Solid list there. Really Like the Jimi Hendrix, FM, Modest Mouse, and Bloc Party.

Thought I'd comment on this one considering the above didn't, only fair.

Great list, one of the few on here that matches a lot of what I listen to. Great pick for favourite track, classic Fugees. ATCQ (my favourite hip hop group) to fill an often lacking hip hop quota. One of New Order's best and great tracks by Leftfield, The Kings and Guided By Voices. Not a huge fan of Green Day, but that's the only blemish! Nice.

Pavement - Our Singer
Peter Broderick - A Glacier
Aphex Twin - 54 Cymru Beats
Wavves - Gun In The Sun
Prefuse 73 - Detchibe
Deltron 3030 - Love Story

Regina Spektor- Riot Gear
Tegan and Sara- Burn Your Life Down
Aesop Rock- Coffee (featuring John Darnielle)
The Hold Steady- Same Kooks
Gogol Bordello- Suddenly...(I Miss Carpaty)

Now that is an amazing shuffle, this is going to be a tough choice for favorite song.

De La Soul are pretty nice, but the rest of the list makes me feel really ignorant.:(

John Coltrane- My One And Only Love

Junkie XL is alright, I wasn't a huge fan of the album I used to have. I've only heard one song by Mae but it was a cover so I can't really judge their original material. Jack Johnson I can take or leave. I haven't heard of Apoptygma Berzerk. The Cure is nice to see, I love them. Rush and Gorillaz I both enjoy. I don't have a lot of their material but I have some favourite songs. Cake is great. A little dissapointed I won't be able to see them play tonight actually. I can't stand U2. ZZ Top are alright, don't listen to them much though.

8. Alden Penner - I Want To Live
9. Circle Jerks - Making The Borabs
10. Melvins - Oven (1989, 7.22 Seattle WA Central Tavern)

Either the first or last. Cool Pink Floyd cover and one of my favourite Melvins songs.

Pretty decent list right there, Beastie Boys, Radiohead, Queens of The Stone Age, Nirvana are all cool. RHCP, Moby, SOAD, and Van Halen are alright. Don't know Gloria ****nor
