That new "Carry on...." film????

One minute it is in production, then the next it isn't. I am not sure what the status is at the moment, although I hope it is not going to be made!!

They might keep it until nearer the 2012 Olympics...it doesn't sound good whatever, 'Carry on Columbus' disappeared without trace.

Having read the RAB synopsis....dear god no.

I love the Carry On's. Either get this generation's top comics to do it (Jack Dee, Izzard, Evans, that level of comic) or just dont bother.

I dont think they should bother to be honest.

Carry on Columbus wasnt great. I dont think its possible to recaptcher what made them so good in the first place.

Totally agree. Many of the great carry on stars have sadly passed, and i don't think Barbara WinRABor would commit to it. It wouldn't be the same without Sid James, Kenneth Williams etc.

It should be made a criminal offence to even suggest that you are going to make a modern "Carry On" film ;)

No trial, no appeals just "go directly to jail" until you've learned the error of your ways.

Why attempt to recreate something that is 'of their time' and can't be replicated? Even the official ones from the 70's were a shadow of the earlier films.

I believe Carry on Columbus is on a permanent loop in hell where it is being watched for evermore by Judas, Hitler and Barbara Cartland

The recent St Trinians film had more then a hint of the "carry on" about it. I think its not a question of if but when they do a new one.

I think the current title of it is called 'Carry On...To The Next Round' and it's about an X-Factor type thing, which sounRAB crap. It's so pointless to try and make another Carry On film because you just can't do what they used to do anymore, it isn't funny.

Haven't they learned from Carry On Columbus? The Carry On films are a reminder of a bygone age, and should be left alone. But I suppose wherever there's a few quid to be made, and nostalgia is a money maker...

Whatever next, a new Confessions Of... film?
