That 80s Cartoon Nomination Thread

Here's a few of my favorite '80s shows that haven't been brought up yet:

Belle and Sebastian (Nickelodeon, 1984-1991(?) by Toho Company) [Intro] [rabroad] [Wiki] [TV.com] - A mainstay on Nickelodeon in the late 80's and early 90's. One of the few animated adventure series shown on the network at that time.

Ulysses 31 (Syn. 1986-87 by DIC) [Intro] [rabroad] [Wiki] [TV.com] - Imaginative and somewhat dark retelling of Homer's The Odyssey set in space.

Galtar and the Golden Lance (Syn. 1985-86 by Hanna Barbera Productions) [Intro] [rabroad] [Wiki] [TV.com] - Maybe the best adventure series ever created by Hanna-Barbera...at least until Pirates of Dark Water came along. Sadly, both were never concluded.

Beverly Hills Teens (Syn. 1987-88 by DIC) [Intro] [rabroad] [Wiki] [TV.com] - Humorous series inspired at least partially by the Beverly Hills Cop movies--note the theme. Not very deep, but really colorful. Love the character designs...

I may think of more...

Wow, and I thought I had a nack for digging up nearly forgotten series >.< ... and I totally remember all of these.

Good finds, I'll get those added =)

I actually have no idea what to classify Belle and Sebastian :-\.

Probably adventure. The story involves a young orphen boy traveling around Europe looking for his mother. During the journey, he runs into shady types and some good friends who help him.

Yo, here's another one for yo ass:

Lady Lovelylocks and the Pixie Tales - DiC, Syndicated - 1986. I don't know what they smoking when they made this one, but the sight of Lady Lovelylocks, Duchess Ravenwaves and a whole bunch of magical creatures on this Kideo Video TV segment was quite interesting if you were into mushrooms and stuff!

Wolf Rock TV: DiC/Dick Clark Productions, ABC - 1984. This short-lived series was known for one thing, dude: Wolfman Jack running a radio station!

Here's a few more that haven't been mentioned yet (surprisingly):

Blackstar (CBS 1981-82 by Filmation) [Intro] [rabroad] [Wiki] [TV.com] - One of Filmation's best series--ever. Not very well animated (true of a LOT of their stuff) but the stories were pretty engaging. Totally overshadowed by He-man.

BraveStarr (Syn. 1987-88 by Filmation) [Intro] [rabroad] [Wiki] [TV.com] - Set in the future on a distant planet with an decidedly Earth "old west'" setting, the series featured possibly the best animation Filmation ever did--except for Flash Gordon. Good stories and memorable characters--especially Judge J.B. McBride. Whew...

I actually have both added to the spreadsheet, but I haven't gotten around to adding them to the post yet.

I'll be doing a major update on Thursday I believe when I have some free time.

Keep them coming though!

If anyone wants to check out the current list / spreadsheet against a pretty good site, I'd suggest checking this one out.

Wow, Wolf Rock TV is so rare I can really only confirm it existed ... maybe ... possibly in another dimension.

Wikipedia is the only reference site that even mentions it and its information is minimal.

I may not add it only because of how little I have ... who am I kidding, I like complete lists >.
