Texting to canada

Ok so I just got these cricket cells. And I see that I can call canada because it is somehow part of the US now, but it isn't clear if I can text message to canada without paying for international texting, and when I called cricket I had to explain to the rep what the rules say. The text messaging clearly says that we can text mexico (useless to me), but nothing about canada.

Does anyone know if we can text to canada without paying the extra 5 a month for international.

thats odd, on my cricket account i have the following code. maybe new plans are only mexico?

Unlimited International Text $0-FIT

i have the 50 dollar plan with roaming and unlimited everything including web and 411.

Texting to Canada has been included for some time now.
Canada is now included in US Long Distance, mostly due to the fact that it no longer costs Cricket anything different than any US Long Distance call since they route most of their long distance voice traffic through VOIP.

I did it worked. I am a new cricket subscriber, and I didn't want to have it shut off, then pay a 15 dollar reactivation for going over my time. Still learning what I can and can't do with cricket.

here's the great thing about cricket. in general, you can't do anything that costs extra without pre-paying for it. the exceptions being add wap and add ringback tones. for other things (international calls, international text, downloaRAB, etc...) you actually have to pre-pay. it may seem a little inconvienient, but it sure beats having a bill with $30-$40 worth of unexpected download charges or international charges or whatever.
