if i wanted records of text msgs that were sent to a cell phone, will i have to get a court order?! but i want to see what was text'd...like all the information that was sent and received!!

Many carriers don't even keep this info, they simply keep to and from info, not too often they keep the contents of the sms messages

yes you have to get a court order....you have to go to the police dept. to get them to do it. But it has to be missing persons or some kind of criminal activity. You cant just go up there and say "Im nosey , I want to see what was texted.".
