Text message staying on Home screen despite delete

I'm on T-mobile. and have noticed that non Today plus theme and Phantom that when i delete a message from my message box, it stays on my home screen.

Anyone else having this problem?

No, but to clear it, pull the battery (while it's on) and the sim. Replace them, and all should be ok!

^^ hasn't worked for me, I have had 5 missed calls and 4 bb messenger alerts for over a week. They will not disappear

Hey there... I tried the "very hard reset" option (ie remove battery & SIM) the first time this happened on my Pearl. It worked, but the problem is that it also reset my time zone and all of my recurring appointments got shifted by -20 hours )-: (and the error propigated to Outlook and I had to reset a lot of them manually).

I read somewhere about viewing the Saved Messages folder. I did this and deleted the message from there, but it still appears on the Today screen.

Any other ideas? (this is annoying rather than mission critical, but I hope it doesn't indicated one of the databases on the device is corrupted).

Just out of curiosity, how full are your memories?

I had a similar problem with my 7100, which turns out - it was pretty full... and slowed it down horribly...
