Text messag DELAY :( ouchhh

hmm like at 8 pm text messages start getting more and more delayed.. it getsd as bad as like if u send a text at 11:30 pm the person doesnt get them until hours later... i tested it last night and my friend got it .. at 4 am.. :( i wonder what cricket is doing about this. Im not the only one in my area with these problems. As far as call quality its perfect and signal. Its not the phone.. its a new one and not the only person with that problem.
 
is the other person on cricket or another carrier. Sprint is the only one i have ever experienced delay with... and it's usually only like 5 minutes. but it is possible there is a gateway in your area that is having a problem. you might want to let someone at cricket know about the problem (someone local would be better cause sometime the people at the call center are... well not the right people to talk to)... they don't always know when there is a problem like this right away and are usually pretty good about fixing things when they find out about an issue.
 
My phone was doin the same exact thing.I was wondering what was wrong with it.Voicemails from a couple of hours back came in early in the morning.I didnt have a clue what was wrong with my phone.
 
I've expierenced similar but I never thought about the timing. Occasionally when I text my girlfriend on Cingular, she won't get it for a couple hours but that's not all the time. Then sometimes it is about 10-30 minutes. But usually it is fine. By the way, I live near Pittsburgh so I'm not sure if it is the area that matters or not.
 
i have been getting text messages like 3 or 4 days late. i think it is due to the nation-wide text message that was sent to cricket users with the slider remix and the excursion. their whole system is getting overflow from all of the new wap users
 
cricket text blasts all the time... i don't think that is what is causing this. and i haven't been having any problems... i text a lot in the evenings too... after 7 pst

sometimes there is a problem with a gateway or with a switch... if this is happening to you a lot you should call customer care and see if you can get someone to refresh your account.
