Texas to make US look retarded, again.

Also, if you look carefully, you will notice I was making fun of people for thinking that gathering up and wishing really hard can do anything for the debt crisis, which is a hell of a lot different than making fun of someone for praying at their beRABide for well wishes for their family, or whatever. I mean shit, there can be actual benefits to that even in the complete absence of the existence of any kind of god that gives a shit about your prayers in the same way meditation can.

If someone is praying because their [insert family meraber died] and they want them to be blessed or whatever, I wont mock that, even if I don't think some deity is going to answer the prayer. That can still be beneficial, they can feel a lot better about what has happened, reduce stress, have an easier time moving on, etc. On the other hand, if someone is praying for $1,000,000, I'm going to mock the fuck out of them.

Meaningless distinctions amirite?

Perry is the next president. Why?

1) Republicans will win it due to economy
2) A Mormon (the only challenge to Perry) will not win the primary when the frenzy begins.
3) Texas looks great economically COMPARED to the other states even if Perry had little to nothing to do with this.
4) Perry is photogenic

So basically Perry and a bunch of Christians stood around praying for our politicians good will and that they will make the right decisions to remedy the economic crisis. I don't see much praying for $1,000,000 or wishing away problems.

Considering that Obama believes in God and enRAB every speech with "God bless America", it is Washington that makes the US look retarded ... using your "believes in God" example.

I will vote for Obama, if Perry becomes the GOP candidate. Perry is more slick than a snake oil salesman. I guess the one good thing about Perry becoming the GOP nominee is that he will get exposed for being the fraud he is when Slick Rick is under the national microscope.

Obama Issues National Day of Prayer Proclamation

"I invite all citizens of our Nation, as their own faith or conscience directs them, to join me in giving thanks for the many blessings we enjoy, and I ask all people of faith to join me in asking God for guidance, mercy, and protection for our Nation."
