Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.

I watched this last night and I have to say it is WAY better than I expected.
The storyline revolves around how "Leatherface" came to be and the amount of blood and gore is purely justified.
I love films that have a decent story instead of a thin half baked effort used as an excuse to show as much blood as possible.

It's easily one of the best films of 2006 and much better than the dreadful "Saw III" which I had the misfortune to watch two days ago.

Yeah also watched this last night on Dvd, it was a great film im sitting at my work this morning and still thinking about!

Does anyone know if they plan to make anymore Texas Chainsaw films? as the sequals of the original were terrible.

i like all thed this movie, but i preferred the 2003 remake of the original. This film is good but it takes ages to see leatherfaces face, and when we do it isnt scary. I think the effects have improved in this film, it knocked me sick when

Just seen the movie, great film and very gory.
Couple of scenes were comical especially when it involved Uncle Marty

I saw the unrated one tonight and it's one sick movie. Never saw the rated version so can't answer your question.

I think there was too much torture in TCM-The Beginning. Very unpleasant at times.

Hope they make another one though

Just watched it a couple of days ago, and was pleasantly (?) surprised.
Witty script with some great humour and some good homages to the original film...
BUT - the last five minutes let it down, and the voice-over at the end making out they were true events really spoilt it.

No she doesn't, due to it being set before the 2003 film in which she starred.

And for those of you interested, the "Unrated" version is the same version that was shown in UK cinemas, we got the uncut version whilst the US got it edited down for violence in order to receive and R rating. The regular 1 disc DVD is the US Theatrical cut.

I saw it at the cinemas and the "Unrated" DVD is exactly the same.

Enjoyed it, had a dream the same night that the family had adopted me, not good. Great film though, plays with the mind as well as being rather gory.
