Retailers will now buy from Exxon, BP, Shell, Marathon, & Sun. Is it possible BP would consider similar measures and how will lessened competition efect consumers in those states?

Wont really have an impact on "competition" overall. The oil companies don't set the prices the stations charge nor do they set the price of oil. A gas station generally charges the max they feel the market will bear. So if two stations are on a corner, one is a Chevron and one is an Exxon station, Chevron goes away, then Exxon could conceivably charge 10 cents more, but if there's another station close by doing so will impact their sales.

This kinda thing happens all the time, the impacts will be minimal if they're even noticed.

sure it's possible, but I think it's more likely BP's stations will just quietly hide the BP logo They are mostly AM/PM anyways.
