Tetsuo- The Bullet Man

I'm very excited about this, the third Tetsuo film from Shinya Tsukamoto. The first two are about twenty years old now, but they're still some of the most f*cked-up stuff available. They were a big inspiration to people like Darren Aronofsky, and they're monumentally weird. Mad cyberpunk ultraviolence a-go-go.

And now there's a new one coming out! I can't wait! Anyone else feeling the bio-mechanical cyborg love?

Have you seen any of his other films? A Snake Of June is really pretty bizarre.

I did like Body Hammer, but I agree it's not as good as the first.

no, I've never seen any of his other stuff. I understand he's fairly prolific but from what I gather, the films post Tetsuo followed a far more conventional format of film making, so i never really paid him much attention. I might check out some of his other stuff though.

Vital's pretty conventional, like the later Cronenberg stuff. A Snake Of June is, to an extent, though the plot's kinda f*cked-up- but it has a couple of truly mental scenes in it.

Haze, on the other hand, is much more in the vein of the first Tetsuo, and it's REALLY odd.
