Tethering...

So I'm going camping this weekend and there isn't WiFi in the campground so I decided to try out the tethering on my trusty LG Glimmer and it to my surprise it works. :lol:

Now I'm still using an Alltel plan that bills data (#777) on my phone as minutes so will I be ok? I'm honestly just going to be using it Friday-Monday. Will my account get flagged and charged data overages? Keep in mind that I have the Free WAP hack on this phone already (back from 08 when I bought it) and have never had any problems or gotten charged for data.

I just flagged your account for lots of extra charges! J/K - officially you should add tethering, unofficially you will be fine.

Like I said its honestly just a temporary thing that I'll rarely ever use.

I'll be monitoring the Verizon Wireless usage section though online just to be safe.

No guarantees if you are a VZW customer now. I was under the impression you were still an "Alltel" customer.

Well I still use an Alltel phone + plan and the features on my line haven't been changed or modified.

I use it on occasion with my Incredible on a grandfathered SmartChoice plan with Verizon, and I've run into no issues.

Well MyVerizon still shows 0's under my data usage so I'm pretty sure I'm safe. :clapping:

The only time you will get charged minutes is if you use it Mon-Fri 6:00am to 8:59pm.
