tethering....

So i been using my 6700 tethered to my laptop on ev-do connection for a while and its really fast i love it... theres only one thing i've noticed that doesn't work.. i cant access any of the messengers on my laptop .. they just dont connect? anybody know how to get them to connect?

so thats a no?? i noticed that yahoo messenger can be configured to use proxy... anyone know if it can be done?

all ports are blocked except 80 and 8080. it should be possible to set up a private proxy operating on your Always Connected home pc and use that. (I believe that you can either set up windows to use a proxy or the IM application although i haven't dabble with that stuff in years)
