Tests

What does a person have to do to get tests to diagnose a problem. My girlfriend has been unable to eat for the past 2 months and when she does shortly afterwards she throws up. The other day we ate out and we had to stop along the road because she had to throw up. Doctor gives her anti nausea meds but no talk of tests and I think its time. Of course I can't call the doctor because of this privacy thing. Please help....Thanks
