After doing some reasearch I believe I may have coeliac disease. I have always known I cannot eat wheat but it seems I cannot eat rye or even oats without experiencing very painful and embarrasing symptoms which are really messing with my quality of life.
I went to my usual doctor who basically told me to avoid it if I know I cant eat it (duh) but did not refer me to anyone or take a blood test (wasnt very happy, she seemed to want me in and out in 5 mins whilst still wanting to charge me $50 grr)
What steps do I need to take to get a biopsy? Do I need to have a referral from my Dr? or can I contact a specialist direct. And does anyone know a specialist in Perth, Australia?
