Im talking about noobs from Belgian, and afganistan, etc where the roads arent paved. LOL. I see what ur saying though..

To summarize ... you are judgemental AND ignorant... passing judgement on people and places you clearly never visisted ... says more about you than about me.

If you ever come out of the cave you live in you're in for quite a surprise.

You might not be a n00b when it comes to newsgroups, but clearly you have serious maturity and intelligence-issues.

This test server from News-Service.com allows up to 16 connections and apparently unlimited speed. Currently 375 days of retention and, it seems, excellent completion.

test.news-service.com
port 119
(no username/password)

For anyone thinking "It's useless to me, I already pay for an unlimited account at Giganews" - don't forget that in most newsreaders you can also set up backup servers to fill in missing articles or headers.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

This is a TEST SERVER. Expect it to be shut down on occasion.

It was down during the weekend. It was working yesterday, and is working today, but I don't know for how much longer until it gets shut down again.

There is really no need to bump this thread over and over again every single time the server goes up or down. If it's not working, then just try again another day. Until the server stays down for a solid few weeks, it's probably just another temporary shutdown.

everyone should tell everyone about this sever so everyone can know

Yeah that's it get it shut down faster for everyone, it's nice to have a backup server to fill in missing blocks, people want good Usenet, then fucking pay for it, don't expect this to be around that especailly with noobs sapmming it. It will just get a server address change or password added, will do not good to tell a million people.

Test servers typically go down from time to time anyway. If you can't connect, just try again later.

As I explained in my last post, I don't think this test server's run will be ending until they get their completion problems fixed, which I'm guessing could take anywhere from several days to a few weeks.

Still not working here. Good to see it's still up for you lot ;)

@ zot: I've put it with the rest of my freeservers and when I'll be able to connect to it I'll be using it anyway.

@ JustDose ... were you by any chance abused by P2P n00bs when you were a little kid??? There isn't an occasion when you seem not to be making fun of them or flaming them. You must have some kind of deep unconscious trauma
