A student tok a small amount of a white colored substance ad placed it into a beaker. Outline a simple test that the student could do in our lab to help decide whether the substance was ionically or covalently bonded.
I know I have to test its BOILING POINT and CONDUCTIVITY.
If the BOILING POINT is high, then it's most likely ionically bonded. But what is a HIGH BOILING POINT considered as in chemistry?
How do I test its CONDUCTIVITY level???? I know that if its HIGH then its most likely ionically bonded...how do i test this?
Thanks in advance
