Hey guys! :)



If there's already a Thread for this I'm really sorry, I've searched but couldn't find it.

Anyway I've just seen the Trailer this Movie and to be honest it really does look amazing! I can't wait to see it! :D

Don't know about you guys but to me it reminRAB me of the 80's Fantasy Style Films (which I love) and IMO Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton both seem to be really good at this type of Genre. :cool:

So what do you guys think? Is anyone else looking forward to it? :)

That too seems to have an 80's Fantasy Style feel to it! :D

Looks awesome too, seems that a lot of good Films are coming out in autumn (no offence to the current showings, it's just that none of them really interest me at the mo:().
 
Wow I think it looks really good! It's going to be so weird though, knowing this is Heath Ledger' last role. =( He looks great in it.
 
i am sure that i read that the the character of doctor parnassus being played also by johnny depp, colin farrell and jude law is down to ledger's death. it is a fascinating way to continue the film though.

and, is that the model lily cole?
 
It is very sad but the way I see it I just think of him doing what he enjoyed the most and that's how I'd remember him, enjoying it to the end. :)

As for Lily Cole I'm not really sure but now that I think about it does look an awful lot like her. Could be.



According to the Trailer it's October 16th but then that could be the American release. :)
 
I've read that its out in the UK on October 16th, and the US are getting it in December sometime. I know IMDB and Wikipedia aren't reliable but I'm taking their word for the time being.
Wasn't it supposed to be June, then it was postponed to September, now October [assuming October is the RD]? Shame we've had to wait so long, but it'll be worth it =]

Yeah, thats Lily Cole. Looks like she's gonna be awesome in it to be fair.

I don't know about anyone else, but I wanted to cry when I first saw Heath in the trailer. :o

Johnny Depp and Heath Ledger in one film = Epic Win surely :D
 
well not totally, whilst a check reveals you're right about parnassus, i was right in thinking that the four actors play versions of the same character in the film

i'm sure you knew what i meant ;)

Ah well I wouldn't worry about it, we all make mistakes. :)

I've lost count how many times my Posts contained bad Grammer and only realizing it hours later when it's too late to Edit! :o



I think it was orginally meant to be a DVD release but I'm not really 100% sure, I could be wrong. :o

And you're right, waiting will be worth it.

Call me weird but I actually smiled thinking: "Look happy he is." In way it's still hard to believe he's dead which probably explains why I'm acting this weirdly. :o

And completely agree with you about him and Johnny Depp being in the same Movie. Can't go more awesome than that! :D

There's a certain look and feel you know you're going to get with specific directors, Gilliam is one of them. Wow! Can't wait.

And Heath's character is a supporting part, Christopher Plummer is the lead.

I think thats the reason I wanted to cry, he looked so peaceful, happy, content, that it makes it harder that literally a few weeks later he'd be dead. Y'know, there's all these stories about how he couldn't sleep, got pneumia (spelling?) during TIODP filming, and stuff, yet when you see him in the trailer...he looks so fantastic, and beautiful and, healthy. Can't quite work out what went wrong..if you know what I mean.
 
I know exactly what you mean, don't worry. :)

To be honest I don't think we'll ever know what was going through Heath's head but going by what his frienRAB say about him and watching his performances (espcially seeing this Trailer) I don't really believe he was as depressed as the Media try to make him out to be. Stress maybe but depressed no.

Then again that's just my opinion from the conclusion I made. :)

Now that's out the way I agree with you, Gilliam is a fantastic Director with his very own unique style. :cool:
