Terrible sequels

Yeah that's true, it's not in the league of the original (no way!) but when compared to the other two sequels that later followed, Jaws 2 doesn't come close to being anywhere near as bad as thouse monstrosities.

I actually watched the film on DVD in its correct widescreen aspect ratio (for the first time) a few months ago, as I hadn't seen it for a long time, and had only done so previously on video and TV airings in the dreadful pan and scan format. I went in giving the film my undivided attention, really wanting to hate it for being the sequel to 'Jaws', but while I had many quibbles with it, in the end I just couldn't do it. Jaws 2 is far better than a sequel to Jaws had any right to be.
 
:eek: when I saw the title of this thread, the first sequel i thought of was also SAW II, what a load of tosh, was so looking forward to it after the first one but it was just sooo boring!
 
I wasn't really a fan of the first movie but Pirates 2 started off all darker and broodier and I felt I wa sin for an enjoyable ride (apart from the obvious notification that if you hadn't sene the first one you wouldn't know who the characetrs were). And then came the campy cannibals, followed by the worst introduction of a movie villain, the long quiet and boring moments, the character sacting out-of-character and that typical ending whereby you know a third one is coming and you know it'll stink for various reasons.
 
8mm 2. No relation to the first film. Not even sure how they got away with naming it that. Hammy acting and porn star extras. If I didn't wake up each time there were tits on the screen I'd have fallen asleep.
 
I would agree about Saw II not being as good as Saw.

Jaws 2 i thought was actually not a bad attempt.

The Kraken was good though!

Also enjoyed the clips about how the film was made.
One poor actor was actually sick after they filmed the net full of men swinging towarRAB the side of the cliff.
