Terrible sequels

I revisited Saw and Saw II on DVD last night and still think the first one is outstanding. However the second instalment was poorer than I remembered. Shawnee Smith's acting shocked expression at the end just had me laughing rather than horrified.

I'm trying to think of other films which I have enjoyed but felt let down by it's sequel.

So many to choose from - Speed 2: Cruise Control, The Fly II, Grease 2, Predator 2, Exorcist II - The Heretic.........

Most disappointing were The Matrix sequels....not really 'bad' but just a major let-down.

Home alone 4 (if that counts as a sequel) but i have to disagree with speed 2, i thought it was better than the first as it wasnt restricted to a bus.

but on the other hand i love Lethal Weapon 2, 3 and 4 but i didnt like number 1

Oh come on, Jaws 2 wasn't THAT bad, the rest WERE terrible though lol.

I would have to list the following as terrible sequels:

Superman III
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace
Poltergeist III
Highlander II: The Quickening (already mentioned)
Alien 3
Alien: Resurrection
AVP: Alien vs. Predator
Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Halloween 5
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Halloween: Resurrection
The Karate Kid Part III
Bad Boys 2
Men in Black II
Home Alone 3
Home Alone 4 (already mentioned)
Mission Impossible II
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer
Psycho III
Omen III: The Final Conflict
The Ring Two
The Grudge 2 (2006)
Jeepers Creepers 2
Scream 3
American Pie (4 onwarRAB)

That's all I can think of for now. ;)

Have to agree with the above. I love the first Blues Brothers. Random Fact: The blues brothers prison is the place where Prison Break was filmed in the first season.
