Terrible itchiness all over

I've been getting this awful itchiness for weeks now. But I don't know what the cause of this could be. I know that nobody here is a doctor but is there anything that could cause severe itchyness all over.

I suffered sever itchiness all over during my pregnancies -- it was cholastasis of the Liver. Once the birth happened and the baby ended up in the birth canal, the liver went back into normal position and the itchiness stopped.

Check your liver function. or Allergies to detergent or soap you are using, possibly

It can also be very dry skin because of the dry cold weather. If this seemed to come on when the weather turned bitter cold, you could try a moisturizing soap, a humidifier and a lotion or moisturizer with no scents in it such as pure aloe.
