Terminator: Salvation - surprised!

I thought the movie was terrible. What's with it ripping off Transformers, War of the WorlRAB AND The Matrix!?

Christian Bale's voice is insanely irritating, is he trying to be a gritty deep actor or does he just need a Locket?!

The CGI Arnie was ridiculous.

There were some whoppers of plot holes, too.

I wasn't the biggest fan of T4 but at least it remained true to the franchise.

Sure if you like generic sci fi, futuristic movies, lots of action and violence it'll suit you down to the ground. But I was horrendously dissappointed!

[comic book guy mode]Worst movie ever[/comic book guy mode]

For me the story was farcical, I kept seeing elements of different films for example the motorcycles coming out reminded me of transformers and people being kidnapped and stored in poRAB, War of the WorlRAB. On a plus note the sound was really good but that is the only good comment I feel I can make, I loved the other three films and like others I wanted it to be good. This over takes my worse sequel which up until now Men in Black 2 held.

what exactly did you want to see?

loaRAB of arnies running around?

or just a similar robot to the 1's in flashbacks from T1?

they created a war film between men/robots and did it well

I didn't really like Salvation. That Marcus guy was probably the most likeable character but it was a strange choice to focus the film on someone who was never seen or even mentioned before. T3 made out like John Connor's wife was gonna be really important in the future but she didn't really do anything in Salvation.....at all. JC himself wasn't much use either. The whole thing felt lacking, nothing exciting going on, not much energy etc. :(
The young Kyle Reese was well cast though.

I dunno whether I preferred this or T3.

Just seen this finally and felt very let down. Christian and that growl is so annoying, does he need read that people hated his voice in batman and yet he brought that same annoying voice to this film.

What was the point of the little kid Star ??? She seemed pointless and added nothing. I actually liked Kyle Reese more than John Conner in this one. Marcus also came across alot better than John in this one.

I watched "Terminator Salvation" last night and thought it was a load of crap.
I liked a couple of the action sequences but overall, it was a huge disappointment and nothing like the previous three.
If the terminators wern't in a few of the scenes I could have sworn I was watching "Transformers"
