'Terminator' back for a new trilogy

I read the comic books version of Terminator, they were pretty cool. But Arnie is getting on a bit, you could really tell when watching T3, he's nearly sixty and he won't be able to pull of the naked shots of the terminator like he did in T1, T2 was pushing it a bit IMHO.

I liked T3, but I think that if they re-make them, then they'll become like the last Robo cop film, crap. 1 was good, 2 was ok, 3, well, nuff said.

Going back to the Terminator story line, it would be nice for them to have a film set in the future, like they did in the comic books, with an uprising that brought an end to the Skynet oppression. But we'll have to wait and see.

Terminator 3 to me seemed so final - nuclear war and all that! I can see how a new film might work e.g. John Connor setting up his band of rebels etc etc but I don't see the point of making it.

Of course it would be interesting to find out how John Connor and his girlfriend managed to survive down in that underground nuclear bunker with no food or water until the end of the nuclear winter. They didn't exactly arrive prepared to survive months of isolation!

Also wouldn't the nuclear bombs also have destroyed the machines as well - I suppose its best not to think too deeply about how realistic this all is!! The thought that a comuputer virus could one day set off a nuclear war is quite scary though.

This was on Chud about the new Terminator film:

"Coming Soon has the scoop on who may be the next Terminator as that series chugs onward like that version of Lynyrd Skynyrd after everyone in the band died in a plane crash. According to the site, Swedish underwear model Marcus Schenkenberg has scored a role in Terminator 4, and word is that he’s the titular character this time out.

Schenkenberg spilled the beans on the Dutch talk show Jensen, which sounRAB like an American cop show from the 70s. He said that while in Cannes he booked no less than four film roles – the casting couch lives on! He also said that he was told that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be doing a 30 second cameo in the film."
