'Terminator' back for a new trilogy

Terminator is a great concept anyway, nothing like an industructible death bot to make an interesting film.

Trouble is no one will live up to classic Arnie, so its pretty much garenteed to be a slight let down.

That's not true. In the first "Terminator" movie, there's a scene in the future where we see human survivors going about their business in their underground (?) base. A large man (a terminator who looked human) then walked into the base and the guard dogs started barking (because they can detect them). He then opened fire on everyone inside.

Wow.... I can't believe I remember that. I had no idea I was such a Terminator nerd. :D

I reckon that Arnie can only fit the role.

He looks like the Terminator for sure! :D He only really suits the films he is in, especially films like Total Recall and the 6th Day. ;)

Yeah, I know the scene that you're describing. And in that scene, I don't think that it's Arnie's version that you see.

What I'm saying though, is that any future Terminator films set after the 3rd film. As it's the future, Arnie isn't necessarily needed, because to show Terminators, they can just all walk around skin-less shooting like we've already seen.

Interesting concept really, as they can do things to change some past film ideas for the future. The future isn't set and all that.

They already pushed it with Terminator 3, although it wasn't all bad, the ending was particularly good, as was Arnold's performance throughout. But here's the thing, if there's gonna be no Arnold and it's going to be set during the future war there's just no point in making it other than to earn money.

As demonstrated in the first Terminator, you don't need to show much of the future war, it should just be referenced and you can imagine the conflict. Showing the future war is the equivalent of what George Lucas showed us in the Star Wars prequels. You don't need to see it. Obi-Wan describing it in the original film, describing how Anakin was the best pilot in the galaxy and all that, how the Empire came to be. It's never going to live up to expectations (Revenge of the Sith certainly didn't) so why show it?

as long as the same person who played John is 3 is not in it im on board. He was a whiny ass bitc*h and was totally not the same John we loved in T2

I love the first 3 Terminator movies , i have the special edition boxset, but a terminator without Arnie  , Terminator is not terminator without are Mr Arnold Schwarzenegger
