Terminator 4

Hi all :)

Although I assume to most of you this is old news, but a few days ago I saw T3 and realised there is a Terminator 4 in the making, so I did some research on it and it seems that it is unlikely that any of the cast of the current terminator films (inc Arnold) will return for T4.

Given that Arnold Schwarzenegger *is* Terminator (if you get what I mean), do you think with the dissapointing T3 (in comparison to T2) that Terminator 4 will be a sucess? Or do you think it could kill off the franchise?

I think it will fail, :( i dunno why they even bother making a 4th film because there is a terminator tv series planned by fox aswell.

Terminator 4 should only be made if it's set in the war and will finish things off once and for all. If they don't do this and it's just a little bit about John Connor's adventures before hand (okay its unlikely but T4 may pull something like that to spite us). I would like to see how the war will go as obviously the technology is there to make it look outstanding I mean look at what Star Wars prequels are visualy. Praise CGI lol

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!! That will be "THE PITS OF THE EARTH"!

T3 was badly let down by the crap casting of the actor who played John Connor, but as said above they "just about got away with it" otherwise.

But a T4 without the Governor of California is unthinkable.

It was said before, ages ago, some time after the release of T3, that they would be a T4, and it would include Arnold himself. They will first do the script and everything, then tell Arnold about it so he can take time off to shoot the scenes!!!!

I didn't like the ginger woman in T3. Her overacting annoyed me, e.g. in the bit where ship thing is flying at them and she starts screaming hysterically. bad stuff.

i think it couldnt be ok. as long as the whole film is the battle between humans and machines which will sort of tie in with the first ( cretaing a loop of the films story line)

I'd watch it if they made it more like T1 - ie Arnie as the baddie. I personally thought he made a far batter bad Terminator than good.

Hey maybe that's the plot - Arnie plays good and bad terminators, and you never really know which one he is at any particular moment?

When Arnie played Terminator 1, I always perfered him as the bad guy. I always liked it when he was bad, although T2 has one of the best endings which is down to Arnie's great acting.

Not the Rock please. I only want T4 if set in the war and done really well. No remakes of the originals or anything please, and speaking of JP4, when is it coming out (if at all)?

four films or more can work- the latest HP is the best yet in my opinion. I think they need another film based on the war, preferably with a conclusion to the whole story as well (to prevent people dragging it on and on)

Jesus, won't they just leave it. The third one should have been the war, ending with Kyle being sent back. Instead they Y2k'd it up and ruined it. And these people are supposed to be professional film makers?

Isn't T4 on E4?

I'm annoyed that the TV series isn't set during the war as there's nothing more to say about Sarah Connor and son is there? SounRAB like it'll be a Fugitive/Hulk/Kung Fu type affair
with a 'happy' climax involving Sarah dying of a terminal illness and JC becoming an in-denial druggie... Anything Skynet related would mess with the timeline though that didn't stop the sequels....

Arnie doesn't need to be in the films any more, the war offers plenty of scope for stories and I actually liked Nick Stahl as JC. A Terminator in disguise is supposed to be a covert killer a la the T1000. Good as he was, it was always silly having someone of that stature as a Terminator.

This opportunity should have been taken for T3. Hollywood should really forget about the embarrassing T3 and make T4 in the future and tie it all up. It has great potential...
