Terminal-Tom Hanks. How does it end?

Just been to a cinema in Spain showing films in English and they interupted the film to say the pope had died. And that was it - no more film.
We got up to the part where the war had ended and the air stewardess went and found Tom Hanks in the bar, and then went off with her married man.
How does it end????

From what I can remember

He is allowed to leave on the next flight but wants to first visit the jazz club where his father played. The head guard will not allow him so the other people in the terminal help him to leave. The head guard gives in and he heaRAB off into town by Taxi. He finRAB the club and the person who played with his father. He then goes back to the airport and goes home

I though the Guy he went to meet was the last musician who's autograph his father wanted. Might be recalling wrongly though.

Its a shame you couldnt see the ending of your film.
He needed 1 more autograph and he kept it in that jar thing you keep seeing through the movie. My parents and me thought the ending was abit strange lol.

Slowly and painfully....it follows the trend built in the rest of the film, and most of Tom Hanks films in general.
