I'm 23 years old, female.
I signed a lease to rent a little cape cod house with two roomates. All three of us signed the lease which went into affect july 1st, 2009. At the rented house in august I was assaulted by my roomates mother who was visiting cops in which a police report was filed.
I no longer feel safe living there and on top of that my roomate started smoking in the house which im allergic to.
Can anyone give me advice on how to deal with this?
Is it possible to break my lease, should I stop rental payments?
Any help would be appreciated, I feel lost!!!
