I have a tenant that is a teacher at a church and she lives alone. She has been with me for 3 years now and has this pit bull that is very sweet. He doesn't even bark at people or me when I go over by myself. My insurance company went over for a roof inspection & saw there for was a pit bull and sent me a letter to sign because pit bulls are one of the breeds that are excluded from liability on policies. That does not seem fair to me. I think it depends on the owner as to how a dog behaves. She is a real animal lover & so am I. I am not going to even think to ask her to get rid of him. He is kept inside the house when she is gone to work. He is a very sweet dog & has done nothing wrong. He has never been aggresive in any way. My insurance company didn't like it because she had a Beware Of Dog on the gate and that was only put up because her son in law told her to so so for liability purpose. What would you do in this case. Just sign the paper & send it back to the insurance company or get another company or what?
