Ten things that only happen on TV

Ooohh! Careful now, there was a long and acrimonious debate about that on the thread at the time!

The show is set in the modern day, therefore in the show's "reality" the books have not yet been written, just as in the original stories Sherlocks' adventures were supposed to have been written by John Watson and were serialised in (iirc) the Strand magazine.

Its rather like complaining that that no one in Dr. Who watches "Dr Who".

I see this alot on soaps and american dramas that..

A person can be miraculously playing an Xbox 360 game of Fifa for example whilst not pushing any buttons or whilst looking into the other direction talking to someone

Like someone mentioned before also another one which annoys me

a driver can be driving and looking to the passenger side for anything up to 10 seconRAB and yet again mirraculousy not have an accident

another one which is common in british soaps]

Everyone knows each other, even if its someone who is someones worst enemy they turn up at the wedding, funeral, stag do etc; without anyone saying anything

No one seems to have any disabilities, like a bad back or a dicky leg, no one has a walking stick hobbling moaning about his bad leg

Or 'How come you walk with a stick during the week but on a Saturday night you are dancing on Strictly?' Is he claiming benefits?
