A member posted this website the other day and I've been checking it out. Now they have this incredible deal, a C90 from ($14399 mistyped) $12,499 down to $9699.

More incredible deals.

Is there anyone from Calgary out there who knows the store?

Calgary-Vancouver is about 1000 km, what a break-in ride.

The C90 lists for $12,499 in Canada? Wow! It lists for $10,299 in the US, which is $10,534 Canadian. Dealers around here are selling them for $9,500, or $9,715 Canadian, so this dealer's price is very competitive. I wonder why the MSRP is so much more up there- high import tarriff or something?

According to store owners I talked, it's the comparatively "low" sales volume. Last year I bought a pair of Shoei RF 1000 for around C$650 each in Vancouver, BC. I saw the same helmet almost half price in Auburn, WA. I was so mad at myself that I didn't shop around.

It is not low volume, it is pure greed.
If you go into your dealers now, prices are down.
With the rain and the fact dealers are back to selling below MSRP again.
In 05, it was hard to get a C50 below suggested.
This year they started out $500 below and some places have been $1500. below.

When we bought my son's 96 ZX6R new, it was easy to get $1,500 off.
Then greed set in, it is the same for a car here, they have a 33% margin.
That is why around 220,000 new cars were purchased south of the border.

So Elvis stop into a dealer like Motorcycle World on King George, Richmond Motorsport or Burnaby Kawi.
They are all dealing now and cash talks the loudest.

The Vancouver Sun had several Motorcycle Dealer Ads this morning.
Richmond Motorsports, the New Suzuki Dealer in Burnaby .
The Buy and Sell has quite a few also.

I wish they had been this aggressive in prices in 05.
The down side is our resale value is down, for those of us who over paid.

Thanks Geoff, I'm trying to talk my riding buddy into a cruiser. He currently rides a CBR 1000 and his girl friend can't ride with him so my better half ends up with his girlfriend in a car, long story short, we cannot go to long trips together by bikes. Quite complicated.:lol4:

So my better half and I enjoy riding in the Lower Mainland ourselves. But I test rode a C90 in a large group a few weeks ago and found out that group rides are a lot of fun. My friend was with me and he liked the C90 very much. So I'm working on him:fight1:

I know what you mean. I was so pissed at the shop who did my 4000 kms service today. I was charged $348 for the second service and they even didn't wipe their finger prints off of my tank. The bike is so new, I use a Suzuki shop for the regular service but I don't think I'll go there for the subsequent services.

Hey Blackie,
I don't wanna see no dealers no more. One of them charged me $250 for the second service labour only today. I think it is about 2.5 hour job but how long does it take to check the valves and changed the oil+filter for God sake? Am I overreacting, how much is reasonable for the second service? I paid $348.49.

Just like the Auto Dealers, they charge book time at $105 per hour, no relation to time spent.
There are some small shops around that have rates a lot lower.
I have heard a few people say Sinclairs on 72nd Ave. in Newton is one.
