Telus prepaid plans question?

So i was thinking of getting a prepaid plan from telus and i was thinking of getting the 2500 msging pack, cause i text alot but i dont need unlimited and i might like call 1 time a day which would take less than a min... So thats 6$ for calling each month and 10$ for the msg... But i dont get how its prepaid but its monthly wdh? So how does these new prepaid plans work? And do i need to pay the 16$ every month or does do we get a top up card and it lasts for 30 days? Cause if it wasnt a top uP card then its like a normal plan... So how does it work plz tell me everything u know about the telus prepaid plan thx
