Lowered the bike 2 whole inches after work today.
I'm not aggressive on the road, so a slight slam on the bike works for me
The handling to me is so different now, slower in turns, smoother ride.

I can U-turn really tight now....yeah baby, yeah!
I'm happier now.

Lowered mine 2 inches also. Like the sleeker look, but Im a bit more nervous when cornering. Scraping, you know. You?

Sorry about the long delay replying Skynard :???:

I was worried about scraping at first, no concerns now though.
I can swing thru some 14 foot U-Turns with no worries.

I passed the Utah Motorcycle test on my bike with all the confidence it takes on a 600 pound cruiser.

I took the road test just for grins, didn't have to because I had the MSF card. Just wanted to see how tough the state test was.

I think lowering helped, at least that's what I'll cop to :party3:

I have been looking into this too. Since the difference is essentially the same as the rear wheel being compressed, the front shouldn't lower much at all, but it *has* to come down some. Now I already ride the bike hard enough (which isn't very hard) and I am draggin somewhere on my 9 mile commute nearly everyday. I have hesitated to do this because I think the benefits are more percieved, or at least, at low speeds. I need the be able to keep the bike as flickable (as a 550 lb cruiser) can be, since I will be doing stuff like the Dragon before too long. Has anyone done this mod and really tested the two changes afterwards on high speed short radius turns? the kind where you really need to shift your weight in the seat?
