and hopefully a developer will make it...

BTW, S60.com is an official S60 website, so at least we got official s60 people listening...

you can save attachments from the built-in browser if you POP your gmail account. That's what I do for when I find a good app/theme while I'm at work. I email it to myself. Don't think you can add apps/themes to an email, though.

I've just never tried to attach them to an outgoing email. You can receive them just fine. I'm saying if I'm on my device and I want to email you a theme, can I? I don't think so, but I haven't really tried recently. Usually if I have a theme, I want it ON my device, not off.

I mean using the Gmail java app at gmail.com/app. I love that app because I never managed to use Gmail POP3 without issues, always have left over headers that wont go away and you end up with double mails. But the only issue is you cant save attachments from there and you cant attach stuff in new emails. Probably because its a single app for all Java phones, and they would need to customize it to use the proper API for S60v3 phones.

Well this sucks, I really can't think of any app that I want that doesn't exist now. Hmph. Honestly, though, none of the apps suggested really sound all that useful to me, either.

I believe you can email apps and themes, but you'd need the original sis file somewhere on your phone, which you won't have if you just install them with PC Suite. Otherwise, you can send any file type you want.

I'll tell you what I'd like, though it's really just a refinement to an existing app: I'd like to see that open source shoutcast app updated so that you can a.) search for streams from the handset, and b.) add them to your playlist. As it stands right now, it works well but you have to add the streams by manually editing the .pls file (which can't be done on the handset itself)... this is fine if you just want to do it once, but repeatedly adding streams becomes a pain in the ***.

If you've ever used Streamtuner + XMMS on a *nix box, you know how easy internet radio can truly be, and I'd love to see that on my handset.

I have Smartmovie 3.25 full version for free. This is the s60 3rd edition, and it has been on my wish list for a long time...until yesterday when I found it. Anybody interested, pm me and I can make your wish come true as well.

Now my new wish for S60:

A good trusted voice recorder software. (without stupid beeps that Nokia put in there) and also, I want to have the option to turn off the stupid flash on my N73 when recording videos. These are two wishes, anyone?

I agree which is why my vote is Games Games Games. I hope they tke advantage of the 3d gaming engines in the N93/N95 and so on. I really miss my n-gage....good games and BT gaming controller designed for S60. I guess my keyboard will have to to but I cant imagine it being too hard to develop and in it well sell in EU at the very least and become available to us in NA....other than that, i'm pretty satisfied with most of the built in apps for business use. Email, wifi, gps....what else do you need really...games.

Wont waste their time? Look at the franchises that picked up the n-gage and have ridden it out until the bitter end....and as far as the juvenile aspect of gaming, I think throwing some decent games on a phone is a great time killer when im sitting in the parking lot of costco while my wife shops with my daughter. Im a father, college grad and married and not a damned bit ashamed to admit that ill game like a mofo if im sitting in my car bored s-less.

lol you are entitled to your opinion lol

what im tryin to say is..how far can they go as far as producing crazy games? These phones, at least for now, will never compete with computer games that use up mad memory and graphic resources

im not sayin u should be ashamed to play a game lol im sayin with the phones we have today we won't really see deep hardcore gaming to enjoy...so while you're in ur parking lot playing tetris, i'll watch a movie or surf the net until I get my as$$ home to play some real hardcore powerhungry games on my computer with my large LCD and enjoy it even more!! lol ( i am entitled to my own opinion as well)

Not to sound like advertising for them, but for games if you check out some of the screenshots at www.gameloft.com there's some decent stuff there.

Sorry to burst your bubble fhs04, but I think you're going to see a comeback.

1. More than just one ugly device +1
2. Downloadable content (no MMCs) +2
3. Connected network +1

Plus 4 for the new Ngage. I for one think it will really take off.

Ok, so I'm an idiot, what I wanted to do with Shoutcast can already be done (thanks Rcadden for pointing that out lol).

Anyone wanna trade my n80 for an e61 by the way?

Not to derail this thread entirely, but I think the race in consoles and other gaming platforms for the best graphics is getting to be a bit redundant. It's getting to the point now where the graphics are so close to reality that any lack of realism will come from the developers side of the table, not from the very-capable system. With that in mind, I'm glad to see Nintendo come out with something completely different, focusing on how you play rather than how good it looks.

The relevance of that to s60 gaming is this: Eventually, such games as we see on any system will be emulated on a portably device in one form or another, but you'll be hard pressed to find a portable device that plays in the same fashion that the Wii does. It'd be in interesting day indeed when I can bring my mini wii-mote with my phone to play games like the Wii does.

Also, is everybody submitting their ideas to the site, or just posting them here?
