casa calderon... my family is half cuban and gautemalan and i would get homestyle cooking from both sides in one restaurant
 
good food is good food, that is what will determine your business. Although I do know people that will not eat at a place if it looks dirty, old, or up to date.
 
Sounds wonderful but you need to plan good menus and cost your meals out to the last penny. Restaurants are notoriously difficult to keep going. One bad service and your reputation can be dead.

go where ever you feel comfortable with your family & obviously food is the main thing. You should have to find a place where your family find really tasty food.
